Like many others, growing up, food meant family. Some of my best memories are just being in the kitchen with my mom, helping out and learning as she went.

I got into barbecue after going to the Rib Cook-Off in Sparks NV. Seeing the way those guys worked stuck with me. I went home, got a smoker, and started figuring it out for myself.

After a lot of trial and error, late nights in the pit, plenty of youtube, and quality time with friends, I learned I had an act for this.
Over the years of many blue-collar jobs, tons of travel and a growing obsession for great food—I knew I had to take a shot and build something of my own.
